The Swiss Legal Tech Association (SLTA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Avuka Training and Coaching (Avuka), a recognised and accredited international training and coaching services provider, in relation to Legal Project Management (LPM).

SLTA recognises the growing demand amongst its members and ecosystem partners for leveraging legal project management principles and practices to enhance the delivery of legal services. The partnership with Avuka will address the demand.  SLTA’s members will benefit from priority access to internationally recognised LPM training, coaching and certification.

The International Institute of Legal Project Management (IILPM) has announced the accreditation of South African Jacqui Baldwin Jarvis as the second accredited trainer for its Legal Project Management (LPM) accredited courses leading to the internationally recognised certifications “Legal Project AssociateTM” and “Legal Project PractitionerTM”. The Institute has lawyer graduates in 40 countries, including South Africa, Nigeria and Zambia that have been certified according to the IILPM standard.

Education / Experience:

Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as proofreading (English, additional language knowledge in German or French a plus)
  • Outstanding presentation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills on executive respectively partner/director level
  • Effective time management skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and pro-active, entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines 
  • Ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment
  • Team player
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Avuka and Unlimited People Consulting launch first Professional Services Edition of Gazing’s global Strategic Relationship Management Methodology

Johannesburg, 4 April 2017 - Unlimited People Consulting (UPC), a licensed provider for Gazing Performance Systems, and Avuka Training and Coaching (Avuka) have jointly developed a practical, yet highly effective training solution for Professional Services Firms based on Gazing’s proven, global key account methodology. The initial launch will take place in South Africa with a later roll-out into other markets.

Many Professional Services Firms, i.e. accountants, lawyers, auditors, management consultants and others, are realising that they should invest more effort into building relationships with their important and profitable clients. Johannesburg, 26 August 2016. Avuka Training and Coaching, a Johannesburg-based provider of quality and comprehensive training, coaching and publication solutions for the Professional Services industry, launched its first innovative and Africa-exclusive training offering today.

Jeetesh Kathawaroo, co-Founder and Director of Avuka explains the rationale behind the new platform: ”As Executives leading departments and teams in the Professional Services industry, we have been always on the lookout for appropriate third party training offerings for our senior and junior team members. What we found was never enough, and often patchy and always just short of being exciting.” His co-Founder and business partner Ignaz Fuesgen adds: ”Eventually, we decided to stop complaining and start changing things.
